Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
With spring here and tons of rhubarb ready and able to be used up, you need a few awesome go to recipes to whip up when you need to use some of that rhubarb! You can cut up all your rhubarb and store it in your freezer too so you always have some on hand! This strawberry rhubarb pie is sure to have your taste buds celebrating the beginning of a new season of fruit and veggie growing! I personally love the combination of the sweet strawberries and the sour, tart rhubarb! Its one of the best combinations and always reminds me of spring and early summer! My mom always made rhubarb strawberry pies and crisps with the rhubarb from our garden. It was the best when it first came out of the oven and you could have it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Delicious!

Plus its even greater that you can find it growing wild in most places in Canada and the United States! Every one loves free and locally grown, right?! But make sure you don't eat the leaves since they are poisonous! My mom also told me, much like the father of the lady who wrote this article, that she and her brother and sisters used to pick it out of their garden and dip it in sugar and eat it just like that!
