Okay, I have to warn you: if you follow the link below, the picture you're going to see is absolutely adorable.
I was lucky enough to get to spend a few days in a log cabin recently, and there's really nothing so cosy or cute as your own little rustic getaway. Curling up before a fire, wrapped in warm blankets as twilight slowly cedes the stars to you - sounds pretty ideal, right? Well, if you're going to have a lovely little wood cabin, you might as well go all the way, I think. That's what this designer obviously thought. I can picture him now, rubbing his chiseled jaw and muttering, 'Well, I know I could build a cute log cabin - but why stop there? Why not build absolutely the cutest log cabin anybody's ever seen? It would be so snuggly people would just about melt to look upon it." And as he said it, so it came to be.
This thing looks like it's right out of a fairy tale. Tucked under a pale birch tree, surrounded by flowers, and dappled in sunlight, this little home seems almost too good to be true. My favourite features are the round-topped door (I don't know about you, but they always remind me of hobbits), and, best of all, the grass-covered roof. There's a nice old wooden chair on the porch, too, for enjoying lazy summer mornings and starry evenings, no doubt. I hope whoever lives here knows just how lucky they are - by how well taken care of this place is, I'm sure that they do.
Anyway, I believe a picture is worth a thousand words, so rather than me writing say, another 650 words or so, why not take a look for yourself? Visit Flickr at the link below to get your own daily shot of adorable.
