Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta
If you are the main cook in your family, you probably realize how difficult it can be to find those perfect crowd pleasing meals that satisfying not only your hungry husband and picky kids..but also have nutritional qualities that will keep your family running on full steam.
It is very important that at mealtimes we are eating high quality proteins, which not only help to keep us full and therefore avoid overeating, but also help all the cells in our bodies stay strong and healthy. Chicken is a great source of high quality protein that provides all of the amino acids that your body needs to function. Ideally, chicken from organic farm raised poultry will be the best choice you can make. It is better save your hard earned dollars and spend money on less chicken that is from a good source and is higher in nutrients and lower in antibiotics and hormones, than to eat cheap chicken every night.
This delicious recipe combines some of my familys' very favorite flavors and ingredients. The base of the meal is a complex carbohydrate of penne, and you can opt for more fiber by replacing regular pasta with whole wheat. It also stars chicken and bacon, but giving your protein to satiate your hunger. The flavors of this recipe are a creamy, garlicky sauce that when mixed in all the right proportions is a delicious ranch sauce. It is a heavier sauce, and so is this meal is best paired with some crunchy steamed broccoli or asparagus. These dark green veggies go very well with a creamy sauce. This meal makes delicious leftovers as well that can be easily reheated in the oven.
Well enjoy this delicious dinner. The full recipe ingredients and directions can be found at the 'Chef In Training' link below.
