At Last, a Stylish Tiny House with a Bedroom on the Main Level
This "Tiny Cottage On The Oregon Coast" is a 416 square foot tiny house that has a ground floor bedroom. The tiny cottage is a short walk from the beach in Lincoln City, a retirement community and summer vacation destination on the beautiful Oregon Coast. Weathered cedar shingles and crisp white trim on the exterior of the tiny cottage give it a nice beachy cottage look, with an entry highlighted with a contrasting section of painted board and batten siding over the front porch. You'll notice the decorative detailing at the peak of the gable with some diamond and lattice work that add character at very little cost.
The front door of this tiny house space opens into an open living space that focuses on the gas fireplace that is centered on the end wall. The open room isn’t big but there are windows on three sides of the room and a cathedral ceiling that keep the space from feeling closed in. There is a small dining nook in the corner next to the fireplace, but it appears pretty cramped. It's nice to have a ground-floor bedroom, and the tiny cottage also has a ramp to the front door and grab bars in the bathroom. It could work well for people with moderate mobility limitations. There is also a sleeping loft with ladder. The tiny cottage was listed earlier this year with an asking price of $235,000. According to Zillow, it sold for $199,000 when the tiny cabin was first built in 2012.
