You will also need some condensed cream of mushroom soup, melted unsalted butter, extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. To start, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Then heat some olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and saute the red pepper and the broccoli until they are tender crisp approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Then add onion and cook for about five more minutes, or until the onion is softened. Then season everything with some salt and pepper and garlic powder. Then combine the cubed chicken and vegetables in a nine by 13-inch baking dish and stir in the mushroom soup. Then in a bowl, drizzle the melted butter over the bread cubes and toss to coat thoroughly. Then spread the bread out over the chicken mixture, and top with the grated cheddar cheese. Then place the baking dish in the oven and cook for approximately 30- to 35 minutes, or until the grated cheese is melted and the mixture is bubbly. Then remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.

Liquids that are released from the meat and vegetables while they cook and further liquid that are added in the form of stock, beer, wine, or vegetable juice may also be added when the recipe is being made. Casserole recipes are usually slow cooked in the oven, most often uncovered.
